Welcome to 2012! I'm not really sure where the past 18 months have gone and don't really have much to show for them - other than weight gain... But, the one thing I know I must do is keep my promise to Tucker. I will continue to spread awareness of Leigh's Disease / Mitochondrial Disease and fundraise in order to help find a cure - so that other affected families do not have to experience our journey. So, without further ado ... Tucker's Time 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament is going to be on Friday, June 22nd, 2012 same location - Carlisle Golf & Country Club. Friendly, 'Save the date' and 'reminder' emails to sign up for the golf tournament to follow soon!

I'm not sure how
many of you are
keeping up with
the Mito
community, but
there is a lot
of buzz -
especially in
the United
States.
There have been
children
diagnosed with
Mitochondrial
Diseases that
are 'related' to
some
celebrities,
such as:
Jack Black
(actor), Chandra
Wilson (Dr.
Bailey - Grey's
Anatomy).
These
celebrities are
getting involved
and assisting in
organizing
fundraisers to
help find
treatments and a
cure. This
is awesome news!
I would love to
find an
"Ambassador"
with athletic
/celebrity
status for our
annual golf
tournament to
raise awareness
here, in
Canada
,
at home in
honour of
Tucker. If
anyone knows of
such person
please contact
me.
